A SINGER/SONGWRITER FROM LITTLETON, CO
Britta Kraakevik is a sought after talent already making a name for herself. Her original music bounces between love gained, lost, and hoped for. She also writes about the quirkiness of life, and with each lyric, her soaring vocals catch the listener and her engaging stage presence draws them in.
Britta started writing early — penning her first song at age 9. At 15, she released her first EP, no more (2016), which can be found on iTunes, Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify, and etc.
She also loves to perform her music whenever she can. She and her band have opened for Hazel Miller. She has performed an original song on the Red Rocks Stage, and she placed in Glendale’s 2019 Showdown Throwdown. She has also sung the National Anthem at numerous events — including 2019 MLL Semifinals and the 2017 PBR opener at the National Western Stockshow.
When she isn’t performing or composing, Britta is a student at UCDenver in their Singer/Songwriter program, and she loves to hang out with friends and her rescue dog, SoSo.
Britta is set to drop a new single, 'gone', in May 2020. Recorded at Colorado Sound Studios, 'gone' is an award winning song about walking away from a bad relationship.
“The moment you doubt whether you can fly,
you cease forever to be able to do it.”
-- Peter Pan • JM Barrie
Britta is a young, fresh vocal powerhouse dynamo! --Steve Avedis, producer
Britta is a joy to work with. Great energy, wonderful pop sensibilities, and a great singer. Not to mention a wickedly dry sense of humor! She’s going places!
